For daily intake with a high image bar and complex protocols, look at stationary Vetus. For farm calls, field work, or a second room — portable DP. Do not pick a portable “to save money” if the main flow is complex suite diagnostics: it is often better to split roles across two systems.
In practice, cost and value are often driven by the probe set and species presets. Ask the distributor which probes ship in the base package and what your profile still needs — that shapes the quote more than the “catalog model name” alone.
